RECLAMATION
Highway Materials is currently utilizing Mine Reclamation Fill at the Plymouth Quarry and Temple Quarry to restore the old quarry to pre-mining elevations. Only uncontaminated soil, stone, unpainted brick, block, and concrete without protruding metal is acceptable. All loads are inspected visually, recorded, and scanned by a photo ionization detector to eliminate potential contaminated sources. Contractors now have a local option to take materials generated by excavation activities. This fill program will make the old quarry much safer for future generations. Please see attached pre-approval forms for small and large projects.
